Gardens
The 132 hectare Royal Botanic Gardens are situated on the banks of
the River Thames between Richmond and Kew in southwest London. The attractions
include a very extensive arboretum, water features, herbaceous bedding, some
of the world's largest and most famous botanical glasshouses, and many historic
buildings.

Bridge Steam Museum
Operated by an independent charity the Steam Museum is housed in a
magnificent 19th Century Pumping Station.

Records Office
This office is guardian of the nation's recorded history and houses
one of the finest archival collections in the world. Its records span one
thousand years of history, from Domesday Book to the latest Government papers.
Chiswick House and Grounds
Built by Lord Burlington, Chiswick House is one of the finest Palladin-style
buildings in Britain.
Caesar's Crossing at Brentford
Where Julius Caesar crossed the Thames - there is a monument at the
place of the crossing.
Gunnersbury House and Gardens
One of Lord Rotheschild's residences.
Chiswick High Road
The High Road has become very popular for it's restaurants, which serve
excellent and diverse cuisine.
Hogarth House
This was the summer home of William Hogarth who was one of London's
famous artists during the 18th Century.
Chiswick Bridge marks the end of the Oxford and Cambridge boat race each year. Walk along the towpath and visit a pub or two along the way. Boat trips are available from Kew Bridge.
